Need Music For Your Game?

A few days ago I stumbled upon Lucky Lion Studios, and I must say it’s one of the best finds I’ve made in a while. Andrew Riley, the studio’s owner, has already contributed to an impressive number of apps and games and has quite a nice web presence set up.

The biggest draw of the site is the Royalty Free Library, where you can buy songs for $5. No strings attached. Just buy them and use them (provided your use stays true to the license). Of course, anyone can go and buy the songs, and the tracks listed aren’t tailored to every genre under the rainbow (a lot of them seem Epic Citadel/Legend of Zelda-inspired). For a more personal solution there’s also the Custom Audio section, where you can submit a job for commission work. I won’t say what the rates are, you’ll have to find out yourself ;-).

Anyways, for a developer like me who can’t compose to save his life, Lucky Lion Studios is a godsend. Hopefully some of you out there will find this useful as well.
